COVID-19 has upended the sales world, forcing reps to adjust to a virtual environment. Sales organizations must recognize that remote work is the new normal within which they must transform themselves to function effectively. Not only do sales operations have to be restructured, but so do other processes such as onboarding, training, and coaching of sales teams.
While remote training methods had been gaining ground amongst sales organizations even before the pandemic, the current crisis has accelerated this transition. However, remote training brings with it its own challenges. This study was undertaken to understand what those challenges are, how companies are dealing with those challenges, and what benefits they have gained by the transition to a virtual environment.
