Regalix

Developer Community for a Publicly-traded Hitech Company
Overview
A publicly-traded IT infrastructure provider was looking for ways to manage and streamline communication within its developer community. With an annual revenue of half a billion dollars, the primary objective was to establish easy communication channels between its developer community thus facilitating innovation in technology.

Secondary objective was to engage with developers in other organization actively looking for IT infrastructure solutions and turn them into customers.

Solution
We at Regalix, proposed, developed and implemented an online community portal for the developers. This community served as a platform for customers and prospects alike.

Some of the features implemented in the community site were

  • User groups or sub-communities within the overall community
  • Stream videos through Youtube
  • Discussion forums
Polls, surveys and blogging were included to keep the community engaging and the members coming back to the site. The conversations on the forums were actively moderated.

On the other side, we were constantly scanning third party discussion sites and forums to listen and understand the topics that were being discussed which might be of interest to the user groups on developer community site.

The community was continually optimized for the social media so as to make it more accessible for the user groups.

Results
Within a year of its launch, the community site recorded 4X increase in the conversation volume indicative of higher user engagement. We also recorded 8X increase in the number of registrations.
