As the CFO & GM of MetricStream, Gaurav has had considerable success in leading thought-leadership initiatives for his organization. By implementing a bullet-proof strategy , MetricStream – a relatively young VC-backed startup was able to carve a niche for itself in the B2B Enterprise Solutions provider market space traditionally dominated by Fortune-100 organizations. He was instrumental in creating ComplianceOnline.com (the leading global GRC portal), leading marketing for MetricStream to be recognized a 'Leader" in the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) space (as validated by Gartner Magic Quadrant and the Forrester Wave); developing the NASDAQ MetricStream strategic relationship among others.
Gaurav brings nearly a decade of marketing, finance and operating experience with Citigroup and has spent several years in executive operating roles with venture-backed enterprise software and internet companies. As part of the executive team at ArcadiaOne, Gaurav handled finance and operations from inception to profitability. ArcadiaOne was successfully acquired in 2001. At Citigroup, Gaurav led the launch and growth of the US 'International Payments Business', which had a distributed operating structure with sales in North America, and technology, operations and service in India.
Under his leadership, this business grew to become a pioneer in web-based international financial transactions. Prior to that, he led marketing and operations for a $ 4Bn international business unit at Citibank that had operations in over 25 countries and customers in over 100 countries worldwide.
Gaurav has a Bachelors in Technology (with Honors) from the Institute of Technology in India, a degree in Business from FMS, Delhi and an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar.
